Tariffs to be paid by the developers for the SEA and EIA procedures

On 4 January 2018 the Interministerial Decree between Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Economy and Finance related to the tariffs to be paid by the developers relating to the environmental assessment procedures under article 33 of Legislative Decree no.152 of 3 April 2006" has been issued.

Subsequently, the General Directorate for the Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of the Environment issued the Directorial Decree no. 47 of 2 February 2018 concerning the arrangements for paying the economic burdens for the SEA and EIA procedures under State jurisdiction and documentation to be submitted.

The Interministerial Decree between Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Economy and Finance no. 1 of 4 January 2018 and Directorial Decree no. 47 of 2 February 2018 enter into force on 6 February 2018 the day following their publication on the SEA - EIA Portal.

Below the table of the tariffs to be paid by the developers for the SEA and EIA procedures.

EIA Screening	0.25 per thousand of the value of the work to be carried out (maximum limit of the amount of 10,000.00 Euros)
EIA	0.5 per thousand of the value of works to be carried out
Single Environmental Permit	0.5 per thousand of the value of works to be carried out
EIA (Strategic works Law 443/2001)	0.5 per thousand of the value of works to be carried out
EIA compliance (Strategic works Law 443/2001)	25,000.00 Euros
EIA follow-up (Strategic works Law 443/2001)	0.25 per thousand of the value of the work, determined according to the final detailed project. The amount divided by the annuity must be paid by the 30th of January of each year. For the works for which the EIA follow-up are already partially carried out starting from the date of 6th of February 2018 (the date of entry into force of the interministerial decree n.1 of 4 January 2018), the amount is due only in proportion to the remaining annual payments, or share part of them, for which the EIA follow-up are still to be carried.
