Transboundary consultations - National radioactive waste management programme of the Republic of Austria

The Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism of the Austria Republic informed that National radioactive waste management programme according to Directive 96/29/Euratom was under preparation, asking Italy to notify its interest in participating to the transboundary consultations pursuant to art. 7 of the SEA Directive 2001/42 / EC and of the art. 10 UNECE Protocol.
With letter dated 26 April 2018, Italy notified to the Austrian Ministry its interest in participating to the transboundary consultations, asking the availability of an Italian version of the Non-technical Summary.
To date for the consultation, the Republic of Austria has transmitted the documents
- National radioactive waste management programme (in English and German);
- Environmental Report (in English and in German);
- Non-Technical Summary of the Environmental Report (in English and in German).

The deadline to send any contributions, which should be produced in English and in word format in order to be properly taken into account in drafting national comments and sent by certified e-mail to the following address: DGSalvaguardia.Ambientale@PEC.minambiente.it, is 20 May 2018.
