Article 8 of Decree-Law No 133 of 12 September 2014, converted into a Law, after amendment, by Law No. 164 of 11 November 2014, provides for the adoption of a Decree of the President of the Republic, on a proposal of the Prime Minister and of the Minister of the Environment, Land and Sea, in agreement with the Minister for Infrastructures and Transport, establishing simplified rules for the management of excavated earth and rocks.

The same provision also provides that the proposed regulation is adopted in accordance with Article 17, paragraph 2, of Law No. 400 of 1988 and that, for the duration of thirty days, is subjected to a phase of public consultation.

The Ministry of the Environment has launched a public consultation on the proposal for a Regulation establishing "Simplified rules for the management of excavated earth and rocks” which will last 30 days ending on the 19th December 2015.

Therefore, starting from the 19th of November, anyone can participate to the consultation by completing the online-questionnaire.
