Abstract The guidance document is about Scoping in Environmental impact assessment (EIA). The new guideline updates and integrates the guideline already issued in 2001 to ensure the necessary consistency with the new provisions of Directive 2014/52/EU. Scoping is the process of determining the content and extent of the matters which should be covered in the environmental information to be submitted to a competent authority for projects which are subject to EIA.
