Environmental Assessments and Authorizations: SEA - EIA - IPPC Permit

FROM MAY 31, 2024 THE ONLY METHOD FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS TO EIA EX ART.23 OF THE LEGISLATIVE DECREE 152/2006 WILL BE THROUGH THE ONLINE RECEPTION PLATFORM.

The method of electronic transmission of EIA requests will replace the previous methods of transmission of EIA requests and related attachments from 31 May 2024.

Additional features will be available starting May 1, 2024:

• List of documents: the developer will no longer have to upload the list of documents to the platform, which will be automatically generated based on the attached documentation;
• New desks for the acquisition of supplementary or finalization documentation: the transmission of the supplementary or finalization documentation of the EIA requests presented through the platform must take place through the use of the appropriate desks.

The new functions will facilitate the developer in submitting requests through the new telematics made available by the platform.

The initiative of the General Directorate for Environmental Assessments is aimed at continuing the actions aimed at the digitalisation of the administrative procedures of the Public Administration, already started with the development of the web portal, dedicated to the publication of the EIA/SEA/AIA procedures.

We inform you that starting from May 31, 2024 the Directorate will not follow up on EIA requests submitted using methods other than the electronic one.

For EIA requests presented in the previous non-electronic method, any transmission of supplementary documentation must take place according to the same method.

For requests relating to other environmental assessment procedures, only the methods of submitting requests already in use remain valid.
