National Conference Nimby Forum - Seventh Edition - Italy wants to change

On the 2nd of March 2012 will take place in Rome the National Conference of "Nimby Forum" which will be presented as the results of the seventh edition of the Observatory Media Nimby Permanent Forum sponsored, among others, by the Ministry of the Environment Land and Sea and with the Minister Clini part of the Scientific Committee.

The Observatory monitors since 2004 environmental disputes in place (Not In My Back Yard) through daily analysis of the main Italian newspapers and has carried out a national database of the works affected by opposition; according to the results of the sixth edition, covering the year 2010, in Italy there are 320 infrastructures and facilities which are object of territorial dispute.

The conference is an important occasion where institutions, enterprises and associations will compete on infrastructure development in the country, on the basis of dialogue and sustainability.
