Environmental Assessments and Authorizations: SEA - EIA - IPPC Permit

Within the National Operational Programme for Governance and System Actions (ESF) 2007-2013 – Action 7b – "Actions supporting the Strategic Environmental Assessment processes and the Environment Impact Assessment procedures", the Directorate for Environmental Assessments and Authorizations of the Ministry of the Environment organized the workshop "Assessing the SEA: the effectiveness of the process on the plan choices", to be held on the 14th of October at the MoE’s Auditorium, aimed at raising awareness of all the institutions and subjects involved in the planning and programming processes, on the importance of the key-role played by strategic environmental assessment in orienting the choices and the implementation of future works to environmental sustainability and to the prevention of negative effects on health and environment. Examples of best practices will be presented during the workshop.

The main aim is a comparison among the different competent subjects involved also in order to propose and promote tools and initiatives, ensuring the increase of the effectiveness of the use of this process based on the critical issues and opportunities emerged to date.
