Environmental Assessments and Authorizations: SEA - EIA - IPPC Permit

Within the National Operational Programme for Governance and System Actions (ESF) 2007-2013 the Ministry of the Environment, as a beneficiary of the Sustainable Development line of action, is currently co- organizing with the General Directorate for the Protection of Nature and Sea the workshop "SEA: a governance tool to address planning of natural protected areas" to be held at the MoE’s Auditorium on 28 October 2015.

The Administrations concerned (General Directions of the MoE, Regions, Managing Bodies of Natural Protected Areas) and public and private subjects involved in the assessment and planning processes will take part to the workshop, which is in continuity with the two workshops "The environmental assessment and the integrated planning of natural protected areas and Natura 2000 sites" organised in Palermo and Salerno last July, concerning the topic of environmental assessment processes related to the preparation and approval of planning, regulation and management tools of protected areas and Natura 2000 sites.

The October event aims at deepening the most interesting and critical issues arisen in the previous workshops and also at engaging the subjects concerned in a dialogue on the possible paths to be taken in order to simplify procedures.
