Description: The Plan was prepared in compliance with Legislative Decree 162 of 14/09/2011 transposing Directive 2009/31/EC on Carbon Capture and Storage CCS and provides for the identification of areas for exploration and storage of CO2. CCS technology involves the capture and compression of CO2 by industrial plants, transportation to the storage site and its injection into underground geological formations suitable for permanent containment.
